1. Our games
Our 27 games are hosted on theoutdoorexp.com, and each one opens inside its own page here, so there's nothing to download or install.
- Routes: Campfire Classics, Expeditions, Myths & Monsters, Ancient Trails, After Dark and Lucky Finds.
- Guest play: every game works without an account.
- Fullscreen and reload: buttons above each game give you a bigger view or a fresh start.
- Devices: works in any modern browser on phone, tablet or computer.
2. Accounts and signing in
A free account gives you 50,000 welcome coins, a daily top-up, a level and a list of games you've played recently. Join with email and a password, or continue with Google.
- Forgotten your password? Use the contact form and choose "Reset my password". We'll help once we've confirmed it's you.
- Change your password any time from your basecamp.
- Joined with Google? Keep using "Continue with Google"; there's no separate password.
- Locked out? Five wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again.
3. How your sign-in details stay safe
In short: your details live on our server and are never on display.
- Server-side accounts. Accounts are created and stored on our own server, in a private area that can't be opened from the web. Nothing is shown publicly or kept in your browser.
- Hashed passwords. We never store your password in readable form, only a one-way hash. Passwords are never written to any record.
- Secure sessions. Signing in gives your browser a secure, HTTP-only session cookie that page scripts can't read. Signing out ends it.
- Encrypted connection. Every page and form uses HTTPS.
- Checked Google sign-ins. Our server confirms every Google sign-in with Google before opening or linking an account.
- Only what's needed. We ask for a username, email and password, never an address, phone number or card details.
We will never ask for your password by email, message or phone. If someone does, it isn't us.
4. What happens when you submit a form
Every form here (join, sign in, contact, Player Care, password change, daily coins and account deletion) is processed on our server, not in your browser.
- Your details travel over an encrypted connection and are checked again on the server before anything happens.
- Contact and Player Care messages are emailed securely from our server to our support team.
- Each submission is noted in a restricted log so we can look into problems and stop abuse. Passwords are never included.
- Hidden spam protection blocks bots without puzzles or captchas.
- Afterwards you return to the same page with a confirmation, or a clear message explaining what to fix.
5. Coins, daily top-ups and levels
- Coins are a free, just-for-fun balance with no cash value. They can't be bought, sold or withdrawn.
- Daily top-up: collect 10,000 coins once every 24 hours from your basecamp.
- Levels: earn 50 XP per daily top-up and 25 XP for each game you play for the first time each day. Climb from Basecamp to Trail, Ridge and Summit.
- Credits inside individual games are separate from your account coins.

8. Troubleshooting
- Game won't load: press Reload, check your connection or try another browser.
- Too small on a phone: tap Fullscreen or rotate your device.
- Keep getting signed out: allow cookies for theoutdoorexp.com.
- Age check keeps returning: your browser may clear site data when it closes.
