About Captain Dale

Guide Dale Helgeson grew up in Southwest Wisconsin and is a well-accomplished tournament fisherman. He has fished many different Walleye circuits across the upper midwest, achieving 9 top 15 finishes at the NWT. Head 2 Head PWS, MWC, and GWC tournaments. In addition to his impressive fishing record, He has also enjoyed success in Hunting, Basketball, Softball, Golf, and Volleyball, and is currently president of Lake Geneva's Chapter of Walleyes for Tomorrow.

Expert Guide Dale is the owner of The Outdoor Experience Guide Service. He acquired a CIS Network Specialists Degree and was a network engineer and President/CEO of a company. He and his wife, Peggy, have been married for 17 years. They have four children, three grandchildren—and successful careers in design and cabinet-making.

He belongs to the National Professional Anglers Association and has a license to guide in Wisconsin. For more than 30 years, he has been fishing and exploring Wisconsin's waters. What started as a passion when he started leading guided fishing trips in Wisconsin turned into a full-time job. His true calling as a fishing enthusiast is sharing his love of angling with others.
