About Captain Dale

Dale Helgeson, a native of Southwest Wisconsin, boasts a distinguished career as a tournament fisherman with numerous accolades in Walleye circuits across the upper Midwest. He has achieved 9 top 15 finishes at prestigious events such as the NWT, Head 2 Head PWS, MWC, and GWC tournaments. Beyond fishing, Dale excels in Hunting, Basketball, Softball, Golf, and Volleyball, and serves as president of Lake Geneva's Walleyes for Tomorrow chapter.

As the owner of The Outdoor Experience Guide Service, Dale combines his passion for the outdoors with technical expertise—he holds a CIS Network Specialists Degree and previously served as a network engineer and President/CEO. Alongside his wife Peggy, married for 17 years, they've raised four children, welcomed three grandchildren, and enjoy successful careers in design and cabinet-making.

A member of the National Professional Anglers Association and licensed Wisconsin guide, Dale has spent over 30 years exploring and fishing Wisconsin's waters. What began as a passion has evolved into a lifelong commitment, as Dale delights in sharing his profound love for fishing through guided trips, turning his enthusiasm into a fulfilling vocation.
